About Celeste

Born in New York, operatic soprano Celeste Siciliano has been heard in lead roles and concerts throughout the world. Trained primarily as a classical vocalist, she has also studied the piano, oboe and various styles of vocal production, including jazz, pop, choral and musical theater styles.

She holds a Masters of Music degree from The University of Delaware where she was also a teaching assistant for the music theory department, a Bachelors of Music from The University of the Arts in Philadelphia and a Certificate in Arts Administration from New York University. She also attended summer programs at AIMS in Graz and at Salzburg College in Austria.

She is an awards recipient of The Liederkranz Foundation, The Wagner Society of New York, The Barry Alexander International Competition, The Metropolitan International Music Festival Competition and The Opera Project of New Jersey among others, and has been featured several times at Carnegie Hall and in Bruno Walter Hall at Lincoln Center.

She has appeared with musical organizations throughout the world including, Landestheater Coburg, Staatstheater Kassel in Germany, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, One World Symphony of New York, Mahler Philharmoniker in Vienna, Opera Lancaster, Liederkranz Foundation, Wagner Society of New South Wales in Australia, Johanna Meier Opera Theater and The Opera Project New Jersey.

Her experience as a performer has greatly informed her teaching style and philosophy. Celeste believes in giving singers the tools they need to succeed in the real world. Fostering independence and individuality is always on her agenda, as is encouraging singers to find their own unique voice, style and stage personality.

She believes in a well rounded musical education, taking into account the each individual’s goals and aspirations. In addition to building a solid and healthy vocal technique, students are encouraged to explore different musical styles, ear-training and other musicianship skills.
